Oostduinkerke is a seaside resort and the municipality of Kokseide, located on the North Sea coast in the province of West Flanders in southwest Belgium. In past it was an independent municipality, but later became of the municipality of Kokseide. The name of the resort from the Belgian language translated as «East Dunkirk», it was named so in the 13th century to avoid confusion with the city of Dunkirk in France, located 20 km to the southwest. Along the coast of Oostduinkerke passes a long sandy beach more than 20 km long and from 50 m to 250 m wide.
