De Haan is a popular seaside resort in Belgium, located on the North Sea coast in the province of West Flanders, 12 km northeast of Ostend. It has an area of 42.2 km², and a population about 12,000 people. De Haan is considered the most greenest resort on the Belgian coast with a large number of parks and squares. The historic center of De Haan was built the early 20th century in the Belle Epoque architecture style. The houses of De Haan decorate with balconies, verandas, colonnades and towers and its facades are painted in calm tones. De Haan is known of Royal Ostend Golf Club, founded by King Leopold II in 1903.
