Kaprun is a town and popular ski resort in the state of Salzburg in the Austrian Alps, 80 km south of the city of Salzburg. Kitzsteinhorn Glacier located 10 km south of Kaprun at altitude of 3203 m above sea level. It offers all year round ski season and unique view of the alpine peaks from the “Top of Salzburg”. The resort has many ski slopes of the different level of difficulty. The total length of all trails at the resort is 55 km, there are two ski areas: Maiskogel at an altitude of 1675 m, and the Caprun Glacier (3203 m). You can get from Kaprun to the glacier by mountain train.
