The ski resort village has many luxury class hotels and apartments. Trofana Royal 5-Sterne Superior Resort, recognized as the best ski hotel in Austria, located in Ischgl. It was used by Elton John, Madonna, Tina Turner and Sting. A feature of this ski resort is the presence of underground escalators connecting some luxury hotels with cable car stations.
