Adelaide Airport (IATA: ADL, ICAO: YPAD) is a main international airport of the city of Adelaide in South Australia, it situated near the coast of Saint Vincent Bay and West Beach Beach, 7 km west of Adelaide city centre. Adelaide International Airport is the fifth busiest airport in Australia, It serves approximately 8.5 million passengers annually. It was opened on 16 February 1955 to replace the old Parafield Airport. In 2005, the airport was renovated and on October 7, 2005, a new terminal was opened with the capacity to service 27 aircraft at the same time. The total cost of the renovation was A$260 million. After the reconstruction, the airport’s capacity increased to 3 thousand passengers per hour.
